ABOUT LEGACY ELEVEN.
Detailed answers about the game, its principles, planned platforms and the club-building experience.
What is Legacy Eleven?
Legacy Eleven is a free-to-play football management game about building an entire football institution, not only selecting a team for the next match. You will shape the squad, youth pathway, staff, finances, sponsorship, facilities, stadium and long-term direction of your club.
The game is designed around persistent history. Promotions, relegations, trophies, records, transfers, academy graduates and major decisions should remain part of the club as seasons pass, creating a story that belongs to your save.
Is Legacy Eleven free to play?
Yes. Legacy Eleven is being built to be free to play, with no upfront purchase required to begin managing your club.
The full commercial model will be explained clearly before release. The firm principle is that spending real money will not buy sporting success or provide a competitive advantage.
Is Legacy Eleven pay to win?
No. Competitive success cannot be bought. Real-world spending will not purchase stronger players, results, league points, increased attributes or a shortcut around the sporting and financial decisions inside the game.
Progress is intended to come from recruitment, tactics, player development, financial management, infrastructure and long-term strategy. Two clubs should be separated by their circumstances and management, not by which player spent more.
When is Legacy Eleven coming out?
Legacy Eleven is currently in active development and is planned for 2027. A specific release date has not yet been announced because major systems still need to be connected, tested and refined.
Development priorities and individual features may evolve as the game is built. The Development Journal will continue to explain meaningful progress without promising dates before they are dependable.
What platforms is Legacy Eleven planned for?
The current plan is to make Legacy Eleven playable on the web for PC and Mac first, allowing managers to access their club through a supported modern browser.
iOS and Android versions are planned to follow. Final device requirements, browser support and the timing of the mobile releases will be confirmed closer to launch.
How can I follow development?
Visit the Development page for journal articles, system status updates, screenshots and explanations of the ideas guiding the game. New entries will be added as important parts of Legacy Eleven take shape.
You can also register your interest to receive future development news and announcements directly. Registration is free, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
What parts of the club will I manage?
Legacy Eleven is designed to connect first-team football with the wider institution. Management areas include squad planning, transfers, contracts, tactics, training, medical care, youth development, staff, finances, sponsorship, facilities, stadium development and competitions.
These systems are intended to affect one another. For example, wages influence financial flexibility, facilities influence player development and sporting performance can change reputation, expectations and commercial opportunity.
Can I create my own football club?
Yes. Club creation is a central part of the Legacy Eleven experience. You will establish the identity of your club and then develop it through the choices you make across seasons.
The goal is for that identity to grow beyond a name and badge. Your squad, academy, kits, facilities, stadium, finances, rivalries, honours and historical milestones should all become part of what the club represents.
Will my club history be remembered?
Yes. Persistent history is one of the gameβs defining principles. Seasons, final positions, promotions, relegations, trophies, records, player careers, academy graduates and major club events are intended to remain available rather than disappear when a new campaign begins.
The history and Legacy Wall are being designed so you can look back through the journey, understand how the club changed and recognise the people and decisions that shaped it.
Does Legacy Eleven include multi-club ownership?
Multi-club ownership is planned as a long-term management option. You will be able to build an ownership group, establish or acquire clubs in different countries and shape a wider strategy across the group.
Each club should retain its own identity and local context. Shared recruitment, internal transfers, loans and development pathways can create opportunities, but managing several clubs will also bring additional responsibility and competing priorities.
How will youth development work?
The academy is being built as a pathway rather than a passive list of prospects. Recruitment, coaching, facilities, youth matches and individual opportunities are intended to influence how young players progress.
Players may develop through youth football, a B team, loans or gradual first-team involvement. Not every prospect will reach their potential, which makes your judgement about timing, development and opportunity important.
Are the screenshots and features final?
No. Legacy Eleven is in active development, so screenshots show work in progress. Interfaces, data, artwork, layouts and individual feature details may change as systems are tested and improved.
Development articles describe the intended direction of the game, but implementation can evolve. Material changes will be explained through future updates rather than quietly treated as final.
